No. of Vacancies : 01 Job Description / Responsibility * Technical architecture: Understanding how to architect the appropriate solution is as important as understanding the requirements themselves. While not responsible for creating the architecture, the DM will be a necessary contributor to establishing the appropriate solution for any given project. * Development process manager: Jaxara uses a distributed agile approach to meet our client`s needs. This involves multiple iterations with short feedback loops. We strive for low communications overhead – while keeping communications flowing at a rapid pace. The DM will be leading the charge on requirements understanding, architecture, task breakdown, estimation, resource planning, development tracking, code/build management, risk management, quality coordination, delivery, and ensuring that the project meets our client`s needs and is on time and on budget. * Team management: Managing a project and it`s underlying process will be fruitless if you don`t have a good handle on your development team. The DM will be responsible for managing individual team members and act as a coach, a motivator, a disciplinarian, a teacher, and a judge. Having the respect of your team through your experience and actions is a critical component for this role`s continued success. * Delivery management: There are individual tasks that the delivery manager will be monitoring day after day. How all of these issues come together to create a usable, delivered project for our clients is of more importance. The DM will ensure that the project will be deployed, and ready for client use when it has been committed. * Communications: Since we have multiple offices in more than one location, we need to make sure that real-time and asynchronous communications are clear, concise, comprehensive, and cogent. The DM will be responsible for documenting issues for clarification in writing, verbally in a recorded video, and in voice calls and IM conversations. When necessary, the DM must gather information from others on the team and ensure that the right questions are being asked, in the right manner. * Project Management: Jaxara has a separate Project Coordination group that is responsible for tracking task completion, risks, budgets, communications loops, and resource allocation. The DM will be instrumental in supporting the Project Coordinators with these efforts. * Client proxy: The DM will be responsible for understanding client requirements and will be a client proxy for the development team. Client proxys play an important role in our team, thinking like the client in a manner that will contribute to an iterative style of development. When a client requirement is not fully clear, or complete, the client proxy will be able to use their knowledge of software architecture best practices, client goals, and human interface design/usability to fill the void present when working for an offshore team. When necessary, the client proxy will communicate questions with our office in the United States. The DM will take ownership over the project and act as if their own money was as risk with each project. Educational Requirements * B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science from reputed local or international university * Preferably studied/worked abroad Experience Requirements * Minimum 5 year(s) Additional Job Requirements * Age 28 year(s) and over * Work as a development manager for a firm based in the United States * Worked as a software architect for web based systems * Prior work as a software developer * Experience managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) * Delivery responsibility * Written and verbal fluency in English * Object oriented architecture * C# development experience * Data and object modeling experience * Highly analytical, able to solve complex problems * Able to manage others in a fast paced environment * Time management * Ability to juggle multiple priorities * Garners the respect of the entire development team Salary Range * Negotiable Other Benefits * Festival bonus * Yearly staying bonus * Transport facilities * Lunch * Internet bill for home use * Medical Allowance Job Location Dhaka
